about

This is an album of 17 demos that were recorded by PAWL in the Phoenix guesthouse (casita), between 2010-2013.
These songs paint a picture of various things going in my life and the culture, all while I was working on recording Modified Dreams (2013), and writing the album Motel (w ttypes, to be released 2020). Each song captures a moment in my life and the lives of different people around me at the time. I hope you enjoy.

Track Name: Metropolis
in the epicenter…
I won’t go there.
Once upon the great lake shore

And you’re up
And I’m down
Is anybody listening to the sound?
When I’m up
And you’re down
Hear our worlds colliding underground.

You awoke on the north side
Passing all the dreamers in the window light
I can’t make you understand
I keep on driving to the end of land
I don’t see it
End of land
Horizon always blue…in this metropolis

Enter adversary…
I don’t see her.
In the wake of what’s to come.

And you’re up
And I’m down
Is anybody listening to the sound?
When I’m up
And you’re down
Hear our worlds colliding underground.

another grey day
and you walked away on the boulevard, raining.
I felt so alone
Except upon the square
far from my, father from my
No sunlight
And farther from my home.
